Canyon De Chelly Sentinel

This was a studio piece I painted from a photo I took during a ground tour of Canyon de Chelly. I had this marked as possible subject and finally decided to do it. The second day we were there I took many pictures of the iconic Spider Rock, but haven't warmed up to those because of the afternoon light.
